ChemImage Forensics Expands Into Mexico With IVG Group By Globenewswire

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ChemImage is pleased to announce the expansion of the company's forensic business into Mexico through IVG Group. A distributor and technical service provider of forensic science instruments, IVG is now the distributor of the HSI Examiner™ product series to clients in Mexico.

The HSI Examiner™ product series uses hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology to non-destructively examine documents that are suspected of being fraudulent, forged, altered or counterfeit. Due to the sensitivity of HSI to differences in inks, the product series provides superior ease of use, ink discrimination and speed over other systems available on the market.

"This agreement marks another successful international relationship for our company," said John Belechak, Chief Operating Officer and Forensics Line of Business Manager at ChemImage Corp. "We are confident that our partnership with IVG will allow ChemImage to build a strong presence in Mexico."

The relationship is proving to be successful, as IVG has already secured business promoting the HSI Examiner™ 100 QD equipped with enhanced software which provides side-by-side comparisons, image overlay tools, and the ability to save hyperspectral images as AVI movie files for courtroom presentations.

"We are very excited about this contract with ChemImage because we´ll be pioneers introducing this new technology to forensic science in Mexico," said Ildefonso Vazquez Gonzalez, General Manager at IVG Group.

For more information about the HSI Examiner™ product series' capabilities and options, contact Chandler Harrell, Senior Account Manager at: harrellc@chemimage.com.
