ChurchPlaza Church Chairs Announces First Quarter Sales Growth of 100%   By PRWEB

Sarasota, Florida (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

ChurchPlaza, a 26 year old Sarasota based provider of church chairs and other quality products to the American church market, today announced a 100% increase in revenues for the first 4 months of 2012 over the same period in 2011 reported Nitza Dowdy, the companys General Manager. We believe this exceptional performance is a result of our rededication to product innovation and new marketing efforts led by a focus on internet promotion practices.

Like many American businesses, ChurchPlaza suffered a significant drop in business in the early stages of the latest recession. Bolstered by the companys long standing reputation for quality service to American churches and the more than 40 endorsements from national denominations, ministries and/or their publishing houses it received over the years, ChurchPlaza was determined to emerge from the recession as a better and stronger organization. The result has been 10 successive quarters of revenue growth.

Although previously recognized as a major provider and innovator of church chairs, sanctuary seating and other seating products for many years, ChurchPlaza experienced the same difficulties as other suppliers to the American church market when church budgets were reduced in response to significantly less giving by church members. Markets became so difficult that Church Chair Industries of Rome, Ga., formerly the Americas largest church chair provider, was forced to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in November, 2010 and has yet to emerge from court supervision.

We were fortunate to have our house in order and the commitment and ability to use the difficulties as an opportunity to improve our products, distribution and marketing as the industry suffered, said Dr. Thomas McElheny ChurchPlazas founder and CEO. While some other providers reduced the quality of their chairs to lower chair prices, we focused on raising the quality of our products and accepting lower margins with the belief churches were more interested in the highest quality church chairs at the best VALUE and not necessarily the cheapest priced and built chairs, he continued. The results seem to support the companys business approach.

Over the past 18 months, ChurchPlaza has introduced a number of innovative church seating products built around the use of quality materials, including space age polymer plastics and high quality steels, foams and fastening systems. With a keen understanding of the unique worship styles of various denominations and faith traditions, ChurchPlaza created seating products meeting the individual needs of its church chair customers.

Because we view ChurchPlaza as both a business and ministry, we feel a double blessing to be able to both make a living and help churches concluded Dr. McElheny
