Some believe that part of President Obamas win came after wooing the Spanish vote. Back in 2008, President Obama began to reach out to Hispanics as he said, campaigning to English speakers, You need to make sure your child can speak Spanish, and that, we should have every child speaking more than one language.
Next, in 2012, President Obama not only outspent Mitt Romney reaching out to Hispanic voters, he had more widely accepted policies on immigration. He also took the time to practice Spanish, and with a surprisingly good Spanish accent, campaigned directly to Hispanics.
It comes as no surprise that President Obama did so well among Hispanic voters and won a second term.
Were honored to have a President who puts such an emphasis on language learning and strives to bridge communication gaps among the citizens of our country and our world, remarked Dave Clark, CEO of LearnALanguage.com.
In honor of President Obamas 2nd inauguration and his commitment to learning languages, LearnALanguage.com is releasing completely free language courses online the day after the U.S. Presidential Inauguration on Monday, January 21st.
The website aims not only to get users started, but to keep them motivated to learn a language. Fun review games, contests, social engagement and competitions encourage learners to return to the site frequently and to reach their goals. The new learning system is based on the award-winning Visual Link® methodology that gets learners speaking from the beginning. These free lessons are supported by advertising, and, much like Pandora®, users will have the option to upgrade to a version without advertising.
To start fulfilling your civic duty to learn a second language (or just for fun) visit LearnALanguage.com.
Note: There will be media availability with Dave Clark, Founder of LearnALanguage.com. Please contact Marketing Director, Jake Beus, at 801-475-4441 Ext. 101 or at jake(at)learnalanguage(dot)com for more information or for interview requests.
