Family History Preservation Company Announces Sponsorship of New England History and Genealogy Radio Show   By PRWEB

Ferndale, Wash. and Boston, Mass. (PRWEB) November 15, 2012

Family history preservation company Houstory recently formed a sponsorship agreement with New England history- and genealogy-centric Internet radio show Fieldstone Common.

Houstory is the creator of The Heirloom Registry and The Home History Book archival journal, two new products designed to save the stories behind family heirlooms and houses.

Fieldstone Common host and genealogist Marian Pierre-Louis uses the broadcast to bring history alive, as she states at her Fieldstone Common blog. During the hour-long broadcast, she interviews authors, historians, curators, archivists, genealogists and other proponents of historical preservation and stewardship about their books and projects.

Considering our entire product line is based on historical preservation, stewardship and legacy, we felt this was a natural fit, said Dan Hiestand, Houstory marketing director. Marian is a highly respected and influential member of the genealogy community, and we are proud to be affiliated with her new radio program.

The show is also featured in the latest New England Historic Genealogical Society newsletter, The Weekly Genealogist. Notable Fieldstone guests have included or will include international photo archivist Maureen Taylor, former chief family historian at Ancestry.com Megan Smolenyak, and author Eric Jay Dolan.

"The principal goal of Fieldstone Common is not only to encourage a shared passion for history but to show the connectedness between the past and the present," said Pierre-Louis. "Understanding the past still has a very real relevance in our lives. Houstory is committed to helping individuals to preserve the past and that makes them a perfect fit as a sponsor. The Heirloom Registry and The Home History Book are top-notch products Ive used and wholeheartedly believe in.

Show listeners will also be entitled to exclusive Houstory product promotions. Fieldstone Common airs live every Thursday at 1 p.m., EST, and is also available as a recorded podcast.
