Pro2col Provide Enhanced Web Browser File Transfer with StingRay 3.1 Release   By PRWEB

Dorset (PRWEB UK) 26 February 2013

Pro2col Ltd, manufacturers of StingRay and specialists in managed file transfer and workflow automation, today announced the release of StingRay 3.1. A file transfer server built specifically with the needs of creative professionals in mind, StingRay 3.1 reflects the industry's ongoing need to simplify data transfer processes and streamline production workflows.

Along with a number of feature enhancements, the latest release sees the addition of StingRay's Quicksend functionality to the internal web interface. Previously only available via StingRay's licenced client application, this time-saving feature enables internal users to send large files instantaneously by simply entering an email address, uploading the file(s) and pressing send. More significantly, StingRay's internal web interface supports an unlimited user model, thus extending the solution's ad hoc file transfer capabilities to all internal staff.

To aid online integration, StingRay's latest 3.1 release now offers an auto-login facility. Initially driven by customer demand to integrate file transfer with their website (please refer to printed.com case study), auto-login enables administrators to supply generic or personally customised HTTP links that bypass login screens for direct file upload.
