DMN Newswire--2013-2-22--The title sequence for Norry Niven's feature film 'Chasing Shakespeare' is a finalist in the SXSW Film Design Awards Excellence's Title Design Competition. The titles were directed/designed/edited by Lucky Post's Sai Selvarajan and Lucky Twenty One's Marc Chartrand, with additional photography by Melanie Chartrand. Music was composed by Eric Kaye at The Lodge/New York. View the titles here:

Sai Selvarajan and Marc Chartrand worked closely with the film's director Norry Niven, on the evocative, dreamlike title sequence.  Chartrand and Selvarajan share an appreciation of the art of title sequences as the perfect marriage of cinematography, film editing, and graphic design. "We wanted to make a piece that played almost like a short film before the feature," Selvarajan explained. "Something that could stand on its own, while serve as an appetizer to the main course."

"Chasing Shakespeare" is a love story between a young African-American man and a Native American girl with a passion for Shakespeare. The film stars Danny Glover, Graham Greene and Ashley Bell.

The Excellence in Title Design Competition Screening will take place Monday, March 11th @9PM following a reception in the Film Poster Gallery space which starts at 8PM.
