In a beautiful display of caring, numerous charities coordinated relief efforts to help those in need. Given its reputation for supporting charities, Shleppers was asked to contribute to the relief efforts with trucks and manpower. The work donated by Shleppers included:
Bringing Stuff to Sandy Point
On Monday, November 5th, Church of Our Lady Good Counsel collected donated goods from the community. Shleppers provided a truck and crew to help volunteers load and deliver the donated items to two different locations in Far Rockaway for the people of Breezy Point neighborhood.
United Way and Food Bank of New York
On Tuesday, November 13th, a food drive was conducted at the Westchester County Association's annual Fall Dinner. Shleppers provided a truck and men to collect the food and bring it to those in need through the Food Bank of Westchester. The coordination of this work was spearheaded by the Volunteer Center of the United Waya frequent beneficiary of donations by Shleppers of trucks and manpower for charitable activities.
Hurricane Relief Organized by Temple Sinai of Roslyn Heights
On Monday, November 12th Shleppers donated manpower and a truck to collect donated boxed items that were collected at Temple Sinai of Roslyn Heights, and then deliver the items to Long Beach on the South Shore of Nassau County for the Hurricane Victims.
West Side Institutional Synagogue
Shleppers cooperated with Costco in efforts coordinated by West Side Institutional Synagogue to gather baby clothes, diapers, wipes, lanterns, flashlights, work gloves, batteries, etc. for people still struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Shleppers contributed boxes, manpower and trucks to assist UJA Federation in numerous efforts to distribute supplies for storm victims across the region. Items were collected and moved over a series of days.

On Saturday November 17, 2012 Shleppers donated a truck and driver to assist in items collected for the Sandy Relief Drive. Once items were gathered, Shleppers transported them to Yorkville Pantry which then distributed the goods to people and neighborhoods affected by the storm.
