Geomagic Spark enters the market as the only 3D tool that combines scan capture tools, robust 3D point and mesh editing capabilities, comprehensive CAD design and assembly modeling, and 2D drawing creation in one complete application. It was created through the use of the SpaceClaim API (Application Program Interface) which allowed Geomagics advanced point and mesh processing tools to be integrated into SpaceClaims 3D direct modeling environment. Designers can simply scan directly into Geomagic Spark or load an existing point cloud or polygon model. From there, they choose from a wide range of automated tools to create or improve a polygon mesh, such as sampling, reducing noise, point to mesh wrapping, and repairing holes. Once the mesh is prepared, users simply transfer the mesh to the design window with a single mouse click.
