Stealth Creative, a full-service advertising agency in St. Louis, MO, received a Silver Mark Award for Brand Image and Positioning - TV Promotion from the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). The award was given for a broadcast commercial developed for Knology, a cable company operating primarily in the South East United States, Kansas and South Dakota. The annual Mark Awards recognize achievement and excellence in marketing from networks, cable companies, and their agencies.
The winning commercial, The Other Guys-Drive Thru, was one of four television spots created in a campaign designed to increase Knologys subscriptions by focusing on the strength of their services over competitors.
To achieve this, Stealth illustrated common complaints customers have with competing cable and satellite companies through allegorical humor, posing the question, "What if everything worked like those other guys?" This was successfully executed by placing common service issues in real-world settings, with a concise statement regarding the strength of Knology's services at the end of each spot.
