Three Morris Bart personal injury attorneys have been named to New Orleans Magazine's "Top Lawyers of New Orleans" for 2012. Morris Bart, Vincent Bowers, and Terry B. Loup will be included in the November issue of New Orleans Magazine.
Morris Bart was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Orleans and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 1978. While at Loyola he was president of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, a member of the Blue Key National Honor Society, and received the American Jurist award for academic excellence. Mr. Bart was inducted into the Louisiana Bar in 1978 and is currently a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Morris Bart is the founder of the law firm of Morris Bart, L.L.C., which initially focused on personal injury in New Orleans. In 1980, he became the first attorney in Louisiana to advertise personal injury on television and since that time has been a leader of marketing legal services in Louisiana.
Mr. Vincent Bowers has made New Orleans his family home for over 20 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Loyola University and is admitted to practice law in all courts of Louisiana. During his career, Mr. Bowers has recovered millions of dollars in compensation as a New Orleans personal injury attorney for hundreds of clients injured by automobile collisions, offshore accidents and medical malpractice claims. He maintains an active litigation practice. Mr. Bowers is active in civic organizations, having served on the boards associated with city government, school and radio broadcasting.
Mr. Terry B. Loup has dedicated over 35 years of his professional life to representing injured persons and their families. He obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1977, and thereafter was admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. In addition, he has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, several federal courts of appeal and numerous federal district courts located in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. He has handled thousands of civil cases during his career as a New Orleans accident attorney, and has extensive pre-trial, trial and appellate experience.
