Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) February 20, 2013
HappyChap Media, a digital media cooperative located in Bellingham, WA, is proud to announce the new site for Trailer Wars, a local Bellingham film festival. The release of the new site comes just in time for tonights event, Trailer Wars XXX: Creature Features.
The bi-monthly event is open to the public and anyone can submit, regardless of experience or equipment owned. Participants submit a 3-minute trailer for a fake movie that follows a predetermined theme. The trailers are then played to an audience that votes for their favorite. The winner of the vote takes home the crown and chooses the theme for the next event. Past themes have included childrens fantasy, zombies, film noir, buddy cop and 80s teen movies.
The new website includes instructions on how to enter, details of the next event, a chart of past entries with links to the winning videos, an F.A.Q. page, a contact page, as well as a descriptions and links to past episodes of Bay Cove Terrace, the official soap opera of Trailer Wars. Bay Cove Terrace is an ongoing series that is shown while the audience votes are being counted. Creative control is passed on to the winner of each event, giving them the option to write or direct the next episode.
Trailer Wars is one of the many things that makes Bellingham a great place to be live and be creative, said HappyChaps Marketing Director Aaron Apple. Having participated myself, I can say its a great experience for both the participants and the crowd. Everyone at HappyChap was thrilled to be taking on this project in order to provide Trailer Wars with a site that reflects the quality of the event itself.
Trailer Wars XXX: Creature Features takes place on Wednesday, February 20 at 9:00 PM, at the Pickford Cinema in Bellingham, WA. Tickets can be purchased online for just $2.00 at the Pickford Cinema Website.
