TrueLanguage Attends ALC (Un)Conference   By PRWEB

Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) February 28, 2013

TrueLanguage, a leading provider of professional localization and translation services attended the ALC (Un)conference 2013, a unique gathering hosted by the Association of Language Companies, a national trade association representing businesses that provide translation, interpretation, localization, and language training services. Unlike the majority of conference, trade shows and industry events, the ALC (Un)conference features no presentations, speakers or formal agenda. Instead, it relies on attendees to provide topics and ideas to be discussed and to control the (un)conference experience.

This was unlike any other professional gathering I have attended, stated Uli Dendy, CEO of TrueLanguage. The open format and intimate setting provided the opportunity to glean knowledge and expertise from the real-world experiences of colleagues and peers in the translation and localization industry. It was an invaluable experience.

Over the course of the three-day event held at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, approximately 50 language company owners and senior staff participated in small group discussions and breakout sessions led by attendees with particular expertise in a specific area. Attendees took advantage of the casual forum and unscheduled format to share and discuss business issues as well as innovative strategies for solving problems and achieving goals and objectives.

I would highly recommend the (Un)conference to anyone in the professional translation and localization market, commented Dendy. I left energized, excited and with many ideas for our business to execute throughout 2013.
