Hotel company sues government over Tenn. flooding Hotel company that owns Grand Ole Opry House suing over disastrous 2010 Tennessee flooding By The Associated Press

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) ' A major resort and entertainment company in Tennessee is suing the federal government over the damage its properties suffered during historic flooding in 2010.

Gaylord Entertainment Inc. claims in a lawsuit filed Monday that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers failed to plan for the flooding and improperly released water from a swollen reservoir that made the flooding from the Cumberland River worse.

The lawsuit also claims the National Weather Service failed to warn the public how bad the flooding could be.
