Adobe After Effects: Ghost like image

SUBJECT: Ghost like image

I have done this while transfering film to video via telecine. I would add motion blur to the film and it would create a ghost like effect to the moving elements of the shot. I need to duplicate that effect with AE. Is it possible and how?

Any help would be appreciated.
