SUBJECT: background encoding
KEYWORDS:
I've been reading a few posts on different forums suggesting that background encoding on SP2 is not adviseable and that one should encode eveything prior to import into SP2 with Compressor. I actually tried this on my first project and kept getting encode errors. When I used the background encoding (same settings) - no errors and eveything seemed fine. One problem that is a part of all this is that if Iexport movies from an Avid (using Avid codec) I end up with very 'milky' blacks when I burn the DVD. I'm working in PAL. Any comments or solutions.
