You might have wondered what is meant by cross posting. This just means posting the same message to more then one forum. While it can be considered 'spamming' if overused, when needed it is a perfectly acceptable procedure.

For example, suppose you wanted to ask a question about a specific feature you needed when creating a DVD, but did not know what DVD authoring package supported that feature. In this scenerio you would want to use the Cross Posting feature.

Just go to one of the forums you want to ask the question of, and choose Make New Post. Write your question just as you always do, then instead of clicking on the Submit button, click on the Submit Multiple button. This brings up a list of forums, and you can choose up to a total of five.  Once you have made your selection click on the Choose These Forums buttons, which returns you to the Make New Post page. Then just click on Submit and your message will be posted to all the selected forums. And if you have asked to be notified by email of replies, this will happen in all the forums your message was posted to.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not abuse this feature, and please do not use it for commercial messages. Doing so can cause your forum privledges to be revoked.
