SUBJECT: material manager tutorials?

Hi Standard, sounds like you've discovered the Procedural shaders. These shaders are called "Smells Like Almonds". Believe it or not... Back in the old days, they used to be a 3rd party suite of shaders until Maxon incorporated them into the regular application. There are some really cool presets available and you can create them from scratch by going to the material manager and selecting the file menue and choosing shader menu. The wacky names you see there are categories like wood glass plastic etc.

If you check out my resources page, there are some links to SLA (smells like almonds) presets and tutorials...

hope that helps...
