The most difficult job - and the easiest to fill - in a corporation is the head of marketing because so much of the work involves seeing how outside events/activities can impact the company and its products in the years ahead. It's also difficult to help people succeed, let them fail and learn, help them understand their mistakes and grow. But the real marketing leaders build the best team and then stay out of their way.
