You should check out all of the articles that have been written on CreativeMac about all of the products in your question. You should also note that you can go directly from your P2 card right into FCP... it's a piece of cake.

We frequently go from P2 card into FCP, export an XML from FCP using Automatic Duck. The file goes to the After Effects computer, then the rendered file goes to FCP and out to tape.

It's really easy.

Note: you can use Automatic Duck from Avid to After Effects also.
