I'm using the PLAY VSTs and loading them into Acid for MIDI recording. Besides my sounds issues (which are getting better with proper use of the ASIO 2 drivers), I'm having issues recording/arm recording. The MIDI track will not record the what I input from the keyboard. Yet, I can hear the sound.

Also, if I do the manual insert and draw a midi track, sometimes on playback, I get a sound and sometimes I don't. It has become semi-annoying.

Please advise to what I should/could troubleshoot.

Also, I really want to get into serious MIDI recording and sequencing. Is Acid the right tool for this? Is there a better software application? As much as I love using Acid Pro, my feelings won't be hurt if I need to go with a better sequencing application.
