Sony Vegas: audio copy paste problem

SUBJECT: audio copy paste problem
KEYWORDS:

Open a second instance of Vegas by double-clicking the source project in Windows Explorer, copy the events from them and paste them into the destination project.

I always make sure to close the source instance immediately after copy/paste.
