SUBJECT: glitches when rendering - help

Hello.  I would be grateful if someone could help. I'm relatively new to after effects. I got a template off revostock, but when i rendered the after effects video by Adding to render queue, I get a line or line(s) running across it which ruins the quality.  The lines seem to appear more when the footage is moving faster. I have temporarily posted it on youtube for you to see:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbIa0jTzYc8

The render settings are best.

The output module is quicktime movie photo jpeg.

I've also tried other formats eg. video for windows, h.264 and still get similar results.  I can't seem to remove the glitches.  Please can anybody help or point me to someone who can?  Desperate!

Chris

SUBJECT: CAN AE ELIMINATE A SHAKEN CAMERA DEFECT IN PRODUCTION VIDEO?

Camera got jostled probably ruining the take. But I'm wondering if After Effects has some way to select a stable image in this video (like a tree trunk) and then generate position keyframes to eliminate the shaken-camera defect?

Found a lovely thread about generating a shaken camera look when you start out with video that's been well shot, but well-shot video is not my lot in life.

Thanks!

After Effects has a built in motion stabalization as part of it's tracking modeule. you just do the same as you would if you tracked, but click the Stabalization button.

AE also comes with MochaAE, which can also be used to do some excellent stabliazation.

I don't quite see the lines you're referring to in this video.

Unless you're referring to a breaky-ness that appears only on playback?

The first thing I'd do is check to make sure AE is rendering things out properly.
in your rendered QT movie - do these lines appear when you step thru it frame by frame?
if so - then it's a rendering issue (in which case upload a single frame for us to analyze)
But that's highly unlikely to be honest.

if each frame appears fine however, then it's more of a playback issue.
- and your computer might be having troubles playing back/displaying the 30fps of video fast enough, so it's choking a bit. (we used to see this a lot back in the days when computers were considerably slower)
