Adobe Premiere Pro

Does Premiere Pro from CS3 have issues with Windows 7? I never had problems with XP or Vista but now that I got Win 7 on my new computer (which is a lot better than what I had before) Premiere keeps blocking all the time forcing me to, well, force shut down because the whole system crashes. Happens only when I'm in PPro.

Best regards,

Vasco

I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) and Premiere Pro CS3 runs just fine.  Faster if anything.  You might have to re-install it.  I had trouble installing CS5, had to do it twice and run Adobe's "clear" script between installs but it runs now.  (Very slowly, but that's another story.)  Try removing CS3 and runing the clear script and then re-installing it.

Thanks a lot, Bob. I'll try that. Never came across that "clear" script though. Where do I find it?

Now that you mention it, I've been thinking about getting the CS5 Premiere but it seems to me you're not very happy with it. Would you care to tell me more? You see I didn't like the CS4. I play a lot with stills that I export as tga frames and that's just a song in CS3 while in CS4 the procedure is so cumbersome it defeats the point of the exercise...

Thanks again,

Vasco
