...and yes, more glass in it, but poser too.

Took me all day (nope, still not done that client work yet), because I had problems with the texture maps. But I did figure out (thank goodness I am very patient), and here is my first Poser to Bryce image (please note: the following image contains nudity if you are offended my any sort of nudity however tasteful it may be, please do not click on the link)

I fear after a week, I am already an addict! Yikes...that was a fast addiction...

Wow, Patricia, that is a VERY cool image! You're a few days ahead of me, LOL, I got the software on Tuesday and haven't wanted to even think about much else! This is the most fun software I've ever worked with. And isn't this forum fun? I got an email from Tammy telling me about this forum and here I find another crony from the PSPIZ! Also wanted to thank you for the nice comments you left me on their forum regarding the images I posted. So far, I have only done landscapes and "skyscapes", but I'm having a blast!

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike, your welcome on the comment at PSPIZ, it deserves it =)~

Yes, it is a very hard program to put away, especially when you are in the midst of redesigning your linkware set, have a client site to finish and one to maintain...I need more time!

LOL,

Hey Patricia!

That's easy to work around- just do what I and so many others do- you just blow off sleeping! Hehe! I know it's not too practical to do often, but it does work. Now... if someone could come up with a Bryce interface that you could plug into the wetware in your head to continue working as you sleep, we'd all be doing a heck of a lot better!

And can you imagine what that would look like- to see your dreams popping up as rendered artwork in the morning? Wow... the mind boggles...

Funny you should say don't sleep. That is actually what I didn't do this past Sunday night. Since I was too busy playing with Bryce and had a client site to be completed for their review for the following morning...I stayed up all night to work on their site.

I'm *never* like that. If I have something to get done, I always do it first, then play. But Bryce is soooooo difficult to put away!

Ah! Didnt know it was posted at pspiz. I got the link from Steve today (just met him today as I had a question for him on fractal music - he has a wonderful site that has images that play with haunting music created by mathematical fractal formulas).

Good to see you here!

patricia,

Nice image....

I know what you mean about glass and bryce.

It can be a "killer" sometimes.

I found that if you can tone down the reflection somewhat and get away with it, that helps tremendosly.

I have been working on a Poser/Bryce image now for the last week.

Don't quite know where it's going yet, but so far I am pleased with it.

The "rough" image is located at

www.mkell-art.com/images/un-named.jpg

I presently rendering out the latest "fix" and should have that up later this evening.

Keep up the good work. I like what you are doing so far.

Michael

Beautiful piece there! How did you get her too look so real? Is it the lighting?

Im a very new Brycer - been using the program (Poser too) for a week, so I am not overly knowledeable in "toning" down the reflections etc...but Im working on it.

patricia,

Lighting has EVERYTHING to do with.

Her "texture" is that of the Poser 4 nude woman.

The scene has 8 lights.

1 radial, 1 tubular and 6 conical.

All the conical lights are pointing at her.

Wait till you see the latest rendition.

I actually like it. :) That's saying something.

The star has been changed, the view angle has been changed, a couple of terrains have been added along with her "ship", waiting patiently in the background.

I think I finally came up with a name for her...

Celestia. Corny, I know.

But if you knew the story behind it, you'd understand.

Michael
