SUBJECT: Bryce crash when selecting "Select options"
Hi, I'm getting desperate!

Bryce 4.1 is often crashing when I click the "Select options" triangle. I can't see a "pattern" in the behavior.

The work I do is 8 .obj files (from poser) which are to be rendered individually in 16 directions. First I have the objects selected, do the frames/directions on them all. Then I select one at a time and the ground and hide the rest. Then render as animation, as bmp files (not movie), I'll be using the images in another program.

If Bryce is freshly installed I can get it all done but after a couple of these "sessions" I get the crash when clicking the "Select options" triangle.

I'd be greatful for any help on this matter.

Eva

I have a few questions...

Does your Bryce disk have version 4 or 4.1 on it? Are you adding the Corel 4.1 update after you install?

If possible try to only install version 4. I was having problems with Bryce crashing for a while. I reinstalled without the update and haven't had any crashes since.

I also had Corel Draw and Photo-Paint installed (which I don't anymore)I've heard that those programs can sometimes cause conflictd with different programs.

Jeremy,

Yes, I install the 4.1 update after 4. I got the update and thought it would solve the problem but not so. I'll check for eventual other programs and conflicts there. Thanks for the advice!
