SUBJECT: importing Acid 3.0;Acid 4.0 to Acid 7.0
I have several old hard drives from ten years ago with Project files created with Acid 3.0, Acid 4.0 .
Simply opening them on a new machine with Acid Pro 7.0 returns a "failure to open for unknown reason".

What is the process for recovering these project files?
The old hard drives have all the clips, but the original file tree is broken as the data has been copied to new folders. Also, the files were not saved into separate projects at the time.

My guess is that it has something to do with pointing Acid 7.0 to the folders which MAY contain the relevant clips associated with each project file.

However, it seems that there should be a "search and replace" feature?

Any help, even retracing the basic steps, would be helpful.
Thank You

ACID 3 and ACID 4 were quite different beasts compared to version 7. Version 7 should ask where the relevant files related to the project are when you go to open the ACD project file.

Still, it wouldn't shock me in the least if old projects didn't work quite right. I know it occasionally happens to me. (A project may expect a soft synth which no longer exists or different hardware.)
