SUBJECT: Dealing with different types of HD files
Does the latest version of Vegas Pro handle more HD file types? I get all types of files from customers to convert to a DVD and am having more and more problems. Example: iPhone video files, JVC video files. Canon from 5D Mark II I can handle with Cineform... Thanks for any help! Paul

In a word, yes. Pro 12 got the ability to handle a lot more file types as well as handle them much easier. As always, if you come across a file that you can't handle, use a free app like MediaInfo to determine exactly what codec you need and then download only that codec from a reputable site. Installing a codec pack such as K-Lite is never a good idea as it has been known to replace your good working codecs with inferior ones. |
